In the Rokua Geopark area, we work closely together through joint marketing efforts to give our internationally unique region and local services the visibility they deserve. The aim of our joint marketing is to strengthen the Rokua Geopark brand and increase awareness and demand for our services in the area.
We offer four different co-marketing partnerships to companies providing services in the Rokua Geopark area, which help you to list your company in our channels, use our regional e-commerce platform and participate in joint marketing campaigns. Partners are involved in the planning, budgeting and implementation of co-marketing.
As well as accommodation, food and leisure, the impact of tourism can be seen in sectors such as retail, transport and food production. This means that businesses from many different sectors can join forces and contribute to joint marketing efforts to raise the profile of our region.

Rokua Geopark is also one of the destinations of the Pohjola Route. The Pohjola Route is a tourism brand in the Oulu region that is marketed by Oulun Matkailu Oy.

GEOfood – a brand of local foods in Geopark areas
Companies in the Rokua Geopark that provide food services can apply for the international GEOfood label, which indicates that the food is mainly grown and produced in a unique UNESCO Global Geopark area. GEOfood can be, for example, food grown in the region or a restaurant’s dish or menu.
Support membership
You can also support Rokua Geopark’s activities by becoming a supporter member with an annual fee of 50 euros. Supporter membership fees are used in the joint marketing budget to increase the visibility of the Rokua Geopark area.
