History, nature, and culture in conversation on the Art Trail

An art trail of seven environmental artworks will be completed in the Rokua Geopark area in 2024. The artworks are situated around the Rokua Geopark area in Muhos, Vaala, and Utajärvi.

The Geopark story told through environmental art

The Journey of Discovery in Art is a collection of seven works inspired by three main themes: geological heritage, tar, and legends.

The art trail brings sustainable, diverse, and accessible art along hiking trails and natural and cultural sites, activating people to move around in nature. In this way, the experience of art is brought closer to the people, in the middle of their everyday lives, from the typical art environments (museums and art galleries).
