Lamminaho historical farm is located in the municipality of Vaala along the Oulujoki River. It presents the peasant life of the area since the 18th century. The yard of the farm with its adjacent fields is protected under the Building Protection Act and its historical artefacts belong to the collections of the National Museum of Finland.
In 1992, the farm was donated by a gift certificate to the National Board of Antiquities, which carried out an extensive renovation project at the site. Today, Lamminaho serves as a museum maintained by the municipality of Vaala during the summer and as a venue for various events and work demonstrations.
Lamminaho Farm is one of Rokua Geopark’s cultural attractions.
