“A Table Without Walls” is our own dining concept, created exclusively for Luxury Hideouts guests. We brings together local ingredients, open fire and the beauty of the northern outdoors. The experience can take place at your Luxury Hideout or as part of a guided nature experience such as hiking, snowshoeing or fishing.
Food from the fire:
The meal is prepared in front of you over an open fire by our guide. Ingredients are prepared in advance, allowing the cooking to flow naturally and keeping the experience relaxed.
The seasonal menu celebrates local flavours. Depending on the season and location, you might enjoy lake fish cooked over the fire with new potatoes and chanterelle sauce, or locally produced sausages with seasonal vegetables, potatoes and mushrooms. A small sweet treat finishes the experience – perhaps a home-baked cinnamon bun or marshmallows roasted over the fire.
From nature to your plate:
Fire, changing light, sounds of the forest or lake, local ingredients and the traditions behind them all become part of the meal – food enjoyed without walls, close to the landscapes and flavours of the region.
