Villa Kanttura is a unique private riverside estate on the banks of the Oulujoki River in Northern Ostrobothnia. Set on 44 hectares of private land with more than one kilometre of riverfront and no neighbours, it offers space, privacy and the freedom to enjoy Finland at your own pace.
At the heart of the estate is an architect-designed main villa where traditional log walls meet modern architecture and floor-to-ceiling windows bring the surrounding nature indoors. The spacious living, dining and kitchen area creates a natural place for everyone to come together, while the surrounding buildings allow the accommodation to adapt beautifully to different group sizes.
Kanttura can be enjoyed by a smaller group or expanded for larger gatherings. The main villa can be complemented by the two Kanttura Hideaway cabins, the historic Savupirtti and other accommodation arrangements. This creates an unusual balance: shared spaces for meals, conversations and experiences, with separate buildings offering privacy and quiet when desired.
Outside, the large riverside terrace connects the different parts of the estate and opens towards the Oulujoki River. The traditional Tulipirtti provides an atmospheric setting for shared meals and evenings by the open fire, while the historic Savupirtti adds another layer of Finnish heritage to the stay. With additional arrangements, Villa Kanttura can accommodate up to 22 guests, while the estate can also host larger groups for events and gatherings.
